Valentine’s Day is coming!

Visit the gallery for locally crafted jewelry by artisans: Anne Bredon, Judi Gooch, Joy McClure, and Yvonne Sarazin.

A Day with the Artist

Come join us on Saturday, February 10, from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM for our monthly “Day with the Artist”. Our featured artists for February are photographer David Hoffman and jewelry artist Yvonne Sarizan.

David will be demonstrating still-life and indoor landscape photography. We will have various organic and inorganic props on hand that we will arrange into creative compositions and photograph. Along with just plain fun, we hope that this exercise will provide some instruction on composition and the use of directional light, which will also be useful in outdoor photography. Bring your own camera or use one of ours!

Yvonne will be demonstrating wire wrap jewelry techniques, and will have a wide selection of her work available for sale.  Pick out something special and hand-made to give your sweety for Valentines Day!

David Hoffman

As a youth growing up in California, David’s family vacationed on the coast or the Sierra Nevada range. During his college years he backpacked the high Sierra’s- always with a camera.  Whether shooting with film or digitally, he is drawn to the natural world. The quiet, intimate scenes that are often bypassed or go unnoticed. His emphasis is on the visual, and sometimes the emotional impact of an image. A selection of Dave's works will be on display at United Security Bank from January 18th through February 18th courtesy of Yosemite Western Artists.

Yvonne Sarazin

“…All of my life I’ve liked working with my hands and have found that I particularly enjoy working with wire. I feel a strong connection to each pendant created.  Most pieces begin with a drawing of the stone or cabochon and the wire is designed around it. For me it’s like thinking of each pendant as a piece of art and making the wire its frame.”

About  “A Day with the Artist”

Williams Gallery hosts a monthly “Day with the Artist” showcasing one of the artists we represent.  Featured artists demonstrate their work throughout the day, discuss techniques, and visit with interested visitors and clients.  “A Day with the Artist” is coordinated with Stellar Gallery’s monthly featured Sierra Art Trails artist, so visitors have a chance to visit with more than one artist on the same day. Please join us!  Stay tuned to our monthly press release or visit our web site for our monthly schedule.
