One spirit depicts a Native American couple standing together, wrapped in a wedding blanket.  Both stand proud, joined as one, on a bed of roots and flowers in bloom. The piece was created as a celebration of the couple's union, and as a tribute to Alex's first son, born shortly after the carving was completed.
