Basket Maker depicts an American Indian woman with two come baskets, filled with basket making materials.  The basket on her back contains stripped redbud bark.  The tall cone basket before her contains a bundle of sourberry sticks bound with rawhide. She is dressed in a button down shirt and long robe that flows into the natural form of the wood.  The details of her necklace and buttons are expertly inlaid turquoise. She appears poised an proud, the carrier of a time honored tradition.
