The Build-Out

John Rogers speckled spackle, leveled lumps, and hid holes.  John spoke softly, worked all day, and only made faces and uncomplimentary gestures when nobody was looking. His wife Norma went to Fresno to work on sculpture, leaving us all to wonder who's the boss in the Rogers family? 

David Ashcraft went skiing....but worked the day before, and the day after....really!  David drank a magic potion the previous week, and saw into the future.  He knew we would do fine without him, so he looked over my plans, told me what I was doing wrong, and how it could be done better, and left for the day.
