The 1944 bracelet and pin offered in the collection are un-marked.  Pin #1 is 18k gold, and the earrings are 14k.  We believe this piece to be 18k gold, but are not positive of the purity of the metal.

Gold and Pearl Orchid Bracelet

Four panels connected with 5 strand gold chain. Each panel is decorated with a golden orchid flower and single central pearl. One panel is larger than the other three, featuring a large slide clasp and safety chain. Superb craftsmanship combining sand cast panels and chain links, applied sheet gold flowers, and engraved details.

In the 1940s, Skipper Kent claimed to own the largest private orchid collection in the United States, and shared his enthusiasm for the rare and beautiful flower with his wife Lucille through a stunning grouping of orchid design jewelry.

From a matching set with earrings, bracelet, and lapel pin purchased in Chili, South America in 1944.
