Louise Goodman

Bear Bank #2

SOLD

 dimensions:

approx 8 1/2"tall x 6 1/2" wide

Adorable bear piggy bank in Louise Goodman's traditional style with a small head, small legs, and substantial torso. The texture of the piece is rough and mimics the thick fur of a bear. The initials LRG are carved on the base, and there is a slot in the back for coins.

Excellent addition to any collection.

Louise Goodman was born in 1937, and has been an active potter for most of her life. Her two trademark pieces, which have brought her fame, are her coil vases and her pottery bears. Louise still creates her masterpieces in the traditional Navajo way, by hand, then taken outside to be fired, and finally covered in pine pitch.

Very Good Condition.  No chips or cracks.
