Migration Pot

SOLD

 dimensions:

7 1/4" diameter at rim x 5" high

Nice example of a Hopi polychrome migration pot.  Black and red over cream slip, tinted golden in some areas by subtle fire clouding.

The migration pattern is the hallmark of the Nampeyo family. Clinton created this pot entirely by hand using traditional stone ploishing and pit firing techniques, and organic paints processed from natural materials.

Excellent Condition. No chips or cracks.
