Rivka Ann Schaffner

Pistachio by Rivka Schaffner

(My philosophy)

Art never speaks, but it is the language all humanity can understand.

Art changes its meaning each time an observer encounters it.

Art creates reaction and reflection.

Art is never wrong or right, it just is.

Art is the result of a creative voyage.

In other words, art is energy spent.

 Volga Memories by Rivka Schaffner

(Why I make art)

This journey is the enjoyable element for me.

It is the passionate core of why I continue to create.

Doing art is like taking a vacation without ever having to leave home.

(How I make art)

My art is a stream of conscious decision.

Every stroke is deliberate. Every color is a thoughtful choice.

I mix media and cross traditional boundaries.

If someone wants to paint on my paintings, I hand them the brush.

(My passion)

When I create I am with God.

Also, I find joy in inspiring people to find their artist inside.
