Dan mask from Ivory Coast, Africa. Stylized female figure with high domed forehead, exaggerated features, and braided hair. Eyes are pitch coated.  Hair is braided cotton fiber, coated with pitch or other stain.  Nice patina, dark hardwood.  Twisted features with large lips and a whimsical, knowing expression.

Good Condition.  Minor wear from age and display.
