 Beautiful 19th century ivory okimono depicting a man training a small dog to sit up.  Excellent carving, pose, and expression.  Man wears a kimono and cap, and carries a walking stick.  A pile of coins at his feet indicate he is performing for a crowd.  Highly detailed with organic designs on kimono.

Excellent Condition.

Mellow patina.

Signed on bottom on red lacquer plaque.
