Late 18th or early 19th century ivory netsuke depicting two Shishi (Chinese Lions). Smaller lion climbs on the larger lion's back, probably an adult and cub.  Adult's mouth is open and contains a "pearl of wisdom" which rattles around inside.  Fearsome expressions. Well carved with nice detail.
