These magazines are from a private collection, collected since the magazines 1977 debut in the United States. Heavy Metal contains some of the best graphic art in the world, featuring internationally acclaimed artists Moebius, Manara, Bilal, Corben, Giger, Druillet, Frazetta, Suydam, and many more. The magazine takes comic art a step beyond a PG rating, featuring stories with adult themes, sexual content, and graphic violence. It is the perfect magazine for science fiction and fantasy readers who like their stories boldly illustrated with a dash of spice!

We have issues available from 1977 to 2003 in fair to excellent condition.
Some have cover wear or slight cover damage noted in the "condition" column.
Bindings are all intact and in good ( readable ) condition.
Interiors are all Mint or Near Mint unless otherwise noted.

Heavy Metal premiered in America with an already established group of European artists, almost unknown in the USA. Among them were some of the best illustrators in the world. Names like Moebius, Druillet, Bilal, and Corben were only known by a few cult followers. Heavy Metal provided the venue for these fantastic illustrators to be discovered by the American public. Issues from the late seventies contained a large number of short works, many as short as 2 or three pages. Many of the stories, such as Corben's DEN, and The Airtight Garage by Moebius were serialized, with short episodes that continued from issue to issue.
