 These two fragmented Buddhas were photographed resting on an eroded hillside along a forest trail on the grounds of Wat Umong Saun Puthatham temple complex in Chiang Mai, Thailand.  The image is one of a series in which Jon strove to capture a sense of the serenity of the Buddha in a world of constant change.  The two Buddhas appear content and meditative,  oblivious to the slow but sure transformation of the world around them.  The subtle, matching hues of the sculpture, the earth, and the tree whose roots surround them, add to the sense of peace and unity in the scene.
