This "Hot" brand label is a delight on many levels.  The tongue in cheek title associated the branding of a calf with the "brand" of the product, shows a definite sense of humor.  The label is a wonderful example of the use of wild west themes in label advertising. The western scene is rendered realistically, but in a slightly naive style that adds sincerity to the image.   In addition, the "hot" palette, and the flaming text are fine examples of design styles emerging in the 1950s in American pop culture.
