In the 1940s, Skipper Kent claimed to own one of the largest private orchid collection in the United States, and shared his enthusiasm for the rare and beautiful flower with his wife Lucille through a stunning grouping of orchid design jewelry.  

From a matching set with earrings, bracelet, and lapel pin purchased in Chili, South America in 1944.
