Professor Rungsak Dokbua teaches painting at Chiang Mai University.  Rungsak's work expresses his personal vision of the profound mysteries of life and the cosmos, and his deep appreciation of the people and culture of Thailand.  His paintings are alive with movement; dynamic compositions that combine skilled rendering and free-form abstraction into thought provoking visions drawn from the subconscious.  His portrait series of the king of Thailand are some of his most striking works, demonstrating his mastery of form and color, and his skill as a portrait artist.
