"Howdy Pard " depicts the archetypal meeting of good and evil in the American West.  The cocky black hat gambler sidles up to the bar with a jovial greeting.  The sheriff looks down pensively holding a shot of whiskey.  One gets the feeling a gunfight is inevitable.
