Neil David Sr. is an influential Native American artist particularly well known for his Kachina and Koshare carvings and paintings.  A founding member of "Artist Hopi",  his work documents his Hopi experience with humor, clarity and detail.  His paintings and carvings of Koshare are whimsical and lighthearted, presenting both the irreverent and the humorous aspects of the traditional characters he portrays.  His works are widely collected, and are included in the Kashiwagi Museum ( Takeshina , Japan ) and the Heritage Center ( Pine Ridge , SD ) collections.
