Heavy Raku fired, slab-constructed stoneware teapot with carved horizontal bands inspired by rock formations in the American Southwest.  Metallic copper glaze overall.  The teapot is a new direction for the artist, and although a bit heavy, the powerful texture and simple form is aesthetically exciting.
