“I believe that there’s an underlying spirituality in everything around us. In painting a figure, a portrait, a still life, or a plein air landscape, I try to capture these inner qualities and to show the emotional side in everything, mixed with a touch of the Divine.”
Jack Lantz was born in Boston, MA, 1959. He served for 10 years in the United States Air Force as a graphics specialist. Jack has spent more than 25 years as a freelance artist specializing in portraits and murals. He graduated from Central Michigan University with a BFA. He currently lives and works in central California near Yosemite.
His work includes (but is not limited to) portraits, landscapes, still life, and figurative work in oil, pastel, watercolor, and intaglio prints.
