It was Kenneth Grahame's desire that Arthur Rackham should illustrate this work. Grahame died before the illustrations were done. Toward the end of Rackham's life he worked only an hour a day, and devoted that time to illustrating 'The Wind in the Willows".

Book in good condition with a whitish stain near bottom on back cover. Binding is solid.  Dust jacket in good condition with some corner wear and minor red staining on back cover caused by bleed through from red cloth binding.
