The Limited Editions Club was started and operated by George Macy from 1929 to 1971 producing one book a month, usually limited to 1500 copies. The books were printed in different countries by the finest printing companies, using fine bindings and papers, with decorated slipcases. Editions were illustrated by well-known illustrators, sometimes hand-colored, sometimes with original etchings, and often signed by the illustrator. They are some of the most beautiful books published in recent times and have become highly collectible. Book in very good overall condition. Binding is solid. Hard cover hinged dust jacket in fair condition with one cracked edge, otherwise clean with some wear from age and use. |
