Beautiful standing figure holding a rose branch with large flower in the right hand, and a single stem with three leaves in the left. Lovely, delicate features, serene expression, and elaborate hair style. Pupils, sleeve and collar borders are accented with black pigment. Detailed belt rope with pei suspended over left hip. Beautiful tone with delicate striations typical of fine ivory. Elaborate drapery with artist's signature on lower fringe of robes.
dimensions: approx 16" high x 3 1/2" wide x 2 3/4" deep Excellent condition. Very minor yellowing from age. Mounted on wooden base. |
